The world has gone grey. One red pixel is left. Hold the line.

Last Pixel is a monochrome pixel-art tower defense game. Everything was drawn in colour once. Then the Static came, a grey tide that erases whatever it touches. One pixel of red survived inside the Portal, and while it burns, the world can still be redrawn.

You are its Keeper. Over five rounds the Static pushes deeper with new tricks. It sends Menders that stitch the horde back together, Glitches that skip through your lines and, at the very end, the Eraser.

How it plays

  • Build towers beside the road. Each one has its own job: rapid fire, splash damage, slowing cold, chain lightning, armour-piercing fire, knockback, mines, buff auras and gold.
  • Upgrade and aim them. Every tower has three levels, and the ones that aim let you pick first, last, strongest or closest.
  • Put placeables on the road itself. Spikes, tar pits, barricades and shock traps go where towers can't, and wear out with use.
  • Buy perks for the whole campaign. Buy one and it carries into every round after.
  • Hold for 30 waves. A Colossus arrives every ten waves, and if one reaches the portal, the run is over.

Features

  • 5 handcrafted rounds with a story campaign, from The Gate down to The Core
  • 16 towers, each with 3 upgrade levels, plus 4 placeables and 6 perks
  • 10 enemy types: armour, splitting, slow immunity, healing, blinking and two bosses
  • 18 achievements kept across campaigns, one of them a secret
  • Endless mode once a round is cleared
  • Autosave between waves, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off
  • Speed controls (1x, 2x, 3x) and auto-wave for when you know your build works
  • No image or audio files: every sprite is drawn in code on a palette of eight greys and four reds, and every sound and track is synthesised live
  • Plays on desktop and mobile, with full keyboard shortcuts on desktop

Controls

Click a tower in the Build list (or press its number key), then click an empty tile to build it. Hold Shift to keep building. Click a tower to upgrade, sell or change its targeting. On a phone, tap a tile once to preview and again to build.

Space sends the next wave. U upgrades, S sells, T cycles targeting, F changes speed, P pauses and Esc cancels.
